In May, everything seems possible: every tree is covered with leaves, the gardens are an explosion of flowers and every morning, the windows open onto the blue sky.

And then it’s a month that begins with a day of celebration, how can you not love it?

Last month to visit this exhibition and retrace, thanks to the fifty works, many of which have never been exhibited before, the friendship and bond between two of the most influential artistic personalities of the twentieth century, Marino Marini and Igor Stravinskij.

Stefano Rovai’s typographic installation is an explosion of words and symbols that catapult us into childhood and into the novel that has marked every child’s imagination. Collodi’s work is transformed into a typographic adventure, passing from the suggestions of futurist poetry to graphics and linguistics.

A pupil of Fattori, Oscar Ghiglia (1876-1945)moved to Florence in 1900, making it his city of choice. Looking beyond the Alps, particularly at Cézanne’s paintings, Ghiglia crossed the Italian early twentieth century with the compositional and chromatic delicacy of his still lifes and his portraits.

Intensissimo is an intimate tour made up of very few appointments. A journey between music and words, to retrace Godano’s career as a solo musician and his years with Marlene Kuntz, an Italian rock band; a hug in dark times, according to the message the songwriter himself wants to spread.

This delightful garden is open to the public only for the month of iris blooms, between April and May. The variety and quantity of iris present, the colours and scents, and the view over the city make this place truly magical.

Do not miss the almost adjacent Rose Garden, where some large sculptures by Jean Michel Folon are permanently placed.

Everything is taken care of in the smallest detail, from the menu to the floral uniforms of the waitresses. 

It is not very central, but it is worth it, especially in spring.
